Accessible by boat from San Pedro, Journey’s End is a “barefoot paradise” set on its own palm-studded beach overlooking the barrier reef. Accommodations include 30 private, air-conditioned beachfront and poolside cabanas. A major cosmetic renovation in 2002 yielded freshly painted exteriors in cheerful island colors and beautiful custom designed mahogany furnishings featuring four-poster canopy beds.
Journey’s End boasts an array of amenities including freshwater swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and lighted tennis courts. Watersports include fishing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving. Massages and other luxurious treatments are available in the Serenity Spa.
For dining, the Luna Restaurant features fresh seafood in a lovely seaside setting, and the Smiling Toucan Beach Bar is the perfect place for a snack and a cold tropical beverage.
